Salisbury, Md., April 30, 2014—Committed to the advancement of women who have chosen a career in manufacturing, the national organization, Women in Manufacturing (WiM), selected consulting firm APPI Energy as its first affinity partner. Under the partnership, APPI Energy will provide electricity and natural gas consulting services to help WiM members reduce and manage energy costs.
“Electricity and natural gas costs comprise a substantial portion of manufacturing operating budgets,” said Kathy Kiernan, Senior Vice President of APPI Energy. “In addition to negotiating supplier contracts, our team of energy experts will help WiM members become more energy efficient, enroll in Demand Response programs, and apply for energy sales tax exemption.”
APPI Energy will provide market insights and educational resources to WiM members, as well as customized cost-reduction opportunities. “WiM is closely affiliated with the Precision Metalforming Association, which has endorsed APPI Energy’s consulting services since 2003,” said Allison Grealis, WiM Executive Director. “The unbiased firm’s energy consulting program clearly adds value to association membership by helping members make smarter energy decisions.” WiM members can take advantage of their membership benefit program by contacting APPI Energy at 800-520-6685.
