Underwood Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

Salisbury, MD, February 4, 2019 – Salisbury, MD based energy consulting firm APPI Energy is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Underwood to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Underwood has been with the company for eight years.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Underwood will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, overseeing the process of the APPI Energy team. Walter Moore, President and CEO of APPI Energy, had this to say about the promotion.

“Jen is a vital part of our company and was responsible for our financial growth and budgetary decisions during her tenure as CFO” said Moore. “She is an important part of our success and our future. As COO, Jen will continue her personal involvement in the operation of the company, ensuring our team remains strong and helping the firm run smoothly as we continue to grow.”

Ms. Underwood had this to say about the promotion.

Ms. Underwood completed her Bachelor of Science in Business and Master of Science in Accounting at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. She started her professional career with a public accounting firm in New Jersey. Underwood then transitioned into the Controller position for the Union Square Hospitality Group in Manhattan. From there, she returned to her hometown of Salisbury, MD to be part of the financial team at Cato Gas & Oil. She joined APPI Energy in 2011 as the Controller before being promoted in 2015 to the Chief Financial Officer.
