Maine Rural Water Association Endorsed APPI Energy

February 18, 2015

Salisbury, Md., February 18, 2015—The Maine Rural Water Association (MRWA) announced its endorsement of independent firm APPI Energy to provide unbiased energy consulting services that reduce electricity and natural gas costs for MRWA members. MRWA joins 140 other trade associations and chambers of commerce across the U.S. that have endorsed APPI Energy’s program.

As part of a comprehensive energy consulting approach, APPI Energy evaluates rural system’s energy usage, negotiates energy supplier prices and contracts for MRWA members, and manages the transition process to a supply solution that lowers costs. Ongoing customer service includes tracking energy markets, monitoring regulatory changes, and identifying future opportunities for MRWA members to reduce energy costs and consumption.

“MRWA members understand the importance of utilities and operating costs,” says Kirsten Hebert, Executive Director of MRWA. “Our endorsement of APPI Energy’s consulting services adds value to membership, and is a great benefit for our members to achieve budget certainty and reduce a major operating expense.”

In addition to procurement consulting services, APPI Energy assists with reducing consumption, increasing efficiencies, participating in Demand Response, and implementing energy management systems. “Since 1996, our team of energy advisors has worked in every state with a deregulated energy market,” says Walter Moore, President and CEO of APPI Energy. “Our Corporate Counsel has vetted and approved 40 energy suppliers to serve MRWA members with low supply prices and fair supply contracts.”
